I first knew about this sport from a movie when I was little. I couldn’t remember the name of the movie exactly, but I was just fascinated (very interested) by this amazing sport. In the movie, the sea was super blue and crystal clear. The waves were fantastic as well. There were seagulls flying in the cloudless sky. I was just blown away (be impressed a lot) by the breathtaking views.

And the surfer was super cool. He was standing on the surfboard, performing various skillful maneuvers (a movement performed with care and skill). And he’s got cameras fixed on the surfboard to record all those magical moments. We could see the waves splash onto his body. It feels so free and relaxing.

I know it’s an extreme sport that requires professional training. Sadly for me, in order to do that, I’ll need to learn how to swim first. Otherwise, I would be dead in the ocean, or I wouldn’t be allowed to try it at all. So although I’m deeply attracted to this sport, I just couldn’t overcome my fear of water.

客观没有条件：

I never got the chance to try this sport, ‘cause although I live in a coastal city, the waves there in my hometown are not strong enough to do this sport.

And once, my mom and I took a trip to Bali Island, you know, a paradise for surfers. And I finally got the chance to do that. My mom hired a coach to teach me, at first, I was a little clumsy (moving or doing things in a very awkward way), and I fell off the surfboard constantly. But gradually, I got the hang of it, and I could finally ride on the waves. I still remember the first time I made it. When the wave was approaching, my heart beat super fast, and I felt as if my heart was in my mouth

at that moment, you know, it was so thrilling.
