Definitely! I’m an avid reader because I believe reading expands myknowledge like nothing else. Reading is totally different from all the randomand scanty input we get from social media and TV.

2. Where do you usually read books?

I usually read books in bed on my phone or tablet. I like reading in bedbefore sleep, it helps me relax and puts my mind in another world, away from thestresses of daily life, so I enjoy reading at night time.

3. What places are not suitable for reading?

There are a number of places that are not suitable in my opinion forreading. I can’t really read on public transport because it’s too crowded… Ican’t really read in the street. I find it difficult to read in the living roomwhen my father is watching loud entertainment shows.

I do think that parks in summer, cafes are good places to read. I likereading in cafes, actually, and this has become more of a common habit today inChina. There’s a bookshop café near my home where you can sit and read the booksa bit before deciding if you want to buy one, over coffee and cakes.

4. Do you like to read by yourself or with others?

I enjoy reading by myself. It’s my quiet time alone. However, I quite likeit when people read to me. My friend Martyn often reads excerpts from novelsthat he likes, or poems. I quite enjoy this, too.
