Well, I would like to particularly talk about a TV program that I have beenwatching since I was a little kid called “Action English”.

I think it’s really hard to say what kind of program it is since it teachesyou certain things in English but it’s also very entertaining. It starts at 6p.m. everyday, and I still remember that when I was still in middle school, onweekends or holidays, I would just grab a pen and a notebook, sit in front ofthe television 15 minutes earlier and wait for the show.

There are three parts in the program. The first part introduces someclassic movies and the host will pick out some slang from the script and explainthe meaning of them. Then he will make some examples of the slang and repeat itfor a few times. As for me, I’m just busy taking down notes every time. And thesecond part is always my favorite one since it’s all about music. The host willintroduce an English song including its background information, lyrics and thestory line. I think it always feels different when you listen to a song and knowexactly what it’s talking about. Last but not least, in the third part, the hostwill introduce some western culture that we never have a chance to know. It’sjust so vivid that makes me want to be there one day and see for myself!

Well, the reason that I regard this program as my favorite one is that itnot only provides me with a relaxing and productive time during the holidays buttriggers my interest towards learning English as well. It shows me the way oflearning English from what I really love such as music and movies, after all,interest is the best teacher!
